Tag: Created Personhood

Created Personhood describes the God-given reality that a human being is a distinct, living person with inherent dignity, agency, embodiment, conscience, relational capacity, and the right to exist without being absorbed into another person’s or system’s authority.

Within the Captivity Lens, created personhood is not granted by family, church, clinician, institution, or relationship. Human authority does not create the self and therefore does not possess the right to erase, redefine, merge, or spiritually mediate that personhood.

Captivity may compress identity, punish differentiation, distort self-perception, or restrict usable freedom, but it does not nullify the person God created.
