Tag: Retaliatory Enforcement

Retaliatory Enforcement is the use of punishment, intimidation, withdrawal, humiliation, or other adverse consequences to restore an established power arrangement after resistance, contradiction, disclosure, or refusal.

It differs from punitive differentiation in its broader function: retaliation may target any action that threatens the governing demands or authority structure, not only the development or exercise of independent personhood.
