Systemic Abuse is harm produced, reinforced, or sustained by the structures, roles, norms, policies, loyalties, or power arrangements of a system rather than by a single isolated act.

Within the Captivity Lens, systemic abuse becomes visible when multiple mechanisms work together to restrict agency, protect authority, normalize harm, transfer cost, punish differentiation, or make exit and accountability increasingly difficult.
