Theology describes disciplined reflection on God, Scripture, doctrine, creation, personhood, salvation, freedom, suffering, resurrection, and the meaning of faithful life.

Within Isaiah 61 Ministries, theology is approached through the lens of captivity, created personhood, survivor witness, embodiment, conscience, differentiation, and Real Jesus. It asks how theological language and authority can either preserve freedom or be recruited into coercive systems.

Theology remains distinct from captivity. Human interpretation does not become divine merely because it is expressed in religious language.
